Toshiba 1st for MFP security
Toshiba is the first manufacturer to use a self-encrypting HDD as standard in its multifunctional products, making unauthorised access to stored data impossible. Equipped with Wipe Technology these newly developed hard
disk drives ensure that stored data is absolutely theft-proof.
Until now companies concerned about data security had to take additional measures but with the integrated secure HDD, a Toshiba innovation, all of this becomes obsolete. Not only is the data on the disk encrypted, Toshiba’s secure HDD also requires the MFP it has been built into to authenticate itself before allowing access to the data. If the secure HDD is removed and connected to any other device, the hard disk automatically deletes the encryption key, thus making it impossible to read the data.
This highest possible standard of encryption comes with virtually no loss of performance as the encryption is done in near real-time on the secure HDD itself. Therefore, the secure HDD not only enhances the security of Toshiba multifunctional systems but turns them into the safest MFPs available in the market.
